Molasses Glazed Sockeye Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 2ea 4oz. Sockeye Salmon Portions
  • 1/4 cup Molasses
  • 2 tbsp. Water
  • 4 tbsp. Butter
  • 1 tsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Salt & Pepper

Directions:

  • In a small sauce pan over medium-low heat combine molasses and water. Once mixture begins to warm, whisk in butter 1 tbsp. at a time.
  • Once incorporated finish by whisking in cider vinegar. Keep warm until ready to serve.
  • Season Salmon Fillet with salt and pepper.
  • Add salmon flesh side down and cook, without moving, until a golden brown crust has formed and fish becomes slightly opaque, approximately 3-5 minutes. Flip product, and baste with molasses glaze.
  • Lower heat to medium and continue to cook for 1-3 minutes.
  • Place fish on platter, brush fish with glaze and let rest for two minutes. Serve with roasted red potatoes & rosemary.
